The last time I used my new stainless steel trays I was sad to be left with a broccoli sprout mess. I told myself I’d try again using a different form of sprouting seed. Having lentils in hand, I soaked them overnight and began giving them sprout baths twice a day. On the third day they were done!
I had never had lentil sprouts before. They’re very tasty! A little spicy and nutty, they went well with our mackerel salads at lunch. Just enough crunch too from the sprout, while the lentil was soft.
I’m pretty pleased with the results!
I’m taking some time off off updating what we’re doing day to day. Instead, I’ll update my blog with some roundups of where we’ve been, why we’re on a boat, our favorite things, and maybe some productivity stuff I’ve been working through. I also am editing our videos, the first being our third Disney World video. The other two are up on our family YouTube channel.
I’ll leave a picture of Shane and Kelly working on removing pesky oxidation from the stainless yesterday. It’s getting hot around here, but they were focused and working hard. Wyatt helped Shane wash down the boat earlier in the day and run errands. I got to do four loads of laundry! Let’s see what else we can get done!
